DfE Confirms the Six Core Technology Standards Ambition for 2030

Six connected priorities
The DfE confirmed the ambition for schools and colleges to work towards six core standards by 2030: broadband, wireless networks, network switching, digital leadership and governance, filtering and monitoring, and cyber security.
Turn standards into a roadmap
Schools should establish a baseline, identify dependencies and prioritise safeguarding, resilience and unsupported technology. Actions need owners, indicative costs and review dates.
Use evidence to govern progress
Asset records, risk assessments, network documentation, review minutes, incident exercises and service reports help leaders understand progress and gaps.
