Windows 10 Support Has Ended: What Organisations Should Do Now
Immediate priorities for any organisation still operating standard Windows 10 devices after 14 October 2025.
The support date has passed
Microsoft ended standard Windows 10 support on 14 October 2025. Unsupported systems no longer receive normal free security fixes and create increasing operational and assurance risk.
Find every remaining device
Use management data and physical checks to identify devices missed by the migration programme, including spares, kiosks, laboratory equipment and rarely connected laptops.
Choose a controlled route
Upgrade compatible devices, replace unsuitable hardware or document a time-limited exception with proportionate controls and ownership. Do not let an exception become an indefinite plan.
